Arctic Bath is a floating hotel located on the Lule River in the Swedish Lapland, just south of the Arctic Circle. The hotel focuses on wellness, nutrition, exercise, peace of mind, and body care. It combines warm saunas with the local, cold-bath culture. Guest accommodations are located either on the land amid the trees or floating on the water. The main building has a circular shape with an outdoor pool in the center.
The spa features: 2 dry saunas, 1 steam sauna, 2 outdoor Jacuzzis, and an open-air cold pool. At check-in, guests will receive a 'spa kit' that includes a bathrobe, bathing suit or shorts, and a variety of spa products. You can enjoy a personalized facial catered to your skin type, a relaxing massage, or a deep-tissue massage.
The restaurant serves traditional, northern cuisine with a modern twist for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The space is small, cozy, and intimate. It is advised to confirm your lunch/dinner as external guests can make lunch and dinner reservations, and the restaurant can become fully booked.
In the winter, guests can enjoy: ice fishing, skiing, snowshoeing, wildlife safaris, snowmobiling, dog sledding, trekking, visiting an alpaca farm, meeting reindeer, ice dining, and much more.
From late May to mid-July, the sun shines 24 hours a day. Between sunset and sunrise, the midnight sun radiates a magical glow from just below the horizon - a dazzling phenomenon not to be missed! Guests can even go for a midnight swim when it is still light outside! Other summer activities include hiking, canoeing, and fishing.
This is the ideal place to experience good food, pure nature, clean air, and of course wellness. If you are visiting the Arctic Bath Hotel with the hopes of viewing the Northern Lights, this natural phenomenon is best viewed from August thru March. We cannot guarantee that the Aurora Borealis will be viewable during your stay.
*Arctic Bath is a cash-free hotel.
