Picasso Suite with Terrace

Named for the celebrated artist who stayed here for several months in 1917, our Picasso Suite pays homage to its namesake through its expressive, elegant décor. Designed with a vibrant color palette, radiant hues of amethyst and gold complement handcrafted tapestry cushions showcasing “Portrait De Dora Maar” and other famous works. Walk across the warm timber floors, past the elegant marble dining table and bar alcove, the fine Italian furniture from Citterio, Meridiani, and the San Patrignano community, to the library to peruse the Picasso folio books. For added decadence, head out onto your private, botanically-encircled terrace, generously outfitted with a dining table and seating area, to share a meal or a drink with friends under the stars, looking out at the verdant expanse of our Secret Garden and the Pincian Hill.

Valadier Suite

The airy and bright Valadier Suite has elegant floor-to-ceiling windows and a French balcony overlooking Pincian Hill and Hotel de Russie's Secret Garden. Named after architect Giuseppe Valadier (also the designer of part of the hotel and the Garden), the suite is beautifully appointed and decorated in a contemporary yet classic style. A cheerful yellow and green color palette complements the suite's breathtaking views, while stylish sliding doors separate the spacious sitting room and dining area from the bedroom, which has a walk-in wardrobe with a dressing-table. The opulent marble bathroom has a separate bathtub, double shower and double wash basins, and the suite also has its own powder room. 

Popolo Suite with Terrace

With a stunning wraparound terrace that overlooks the historic Piazza del Popolo, our Popolo Suite offers some of the most exclusive views in the city. Following a complete renovation led by Olga Polizzi, our Director of Design, this exceptional suite pays tribute to the graceful poise of esteemed ballet dancer and choreographer, Vaslav Nijinsky, who was a frequent visitor to Hotel de Russie.

The exquisite Nijinsky Suite makes a statement as a grand Roman residence. Its composition of indoor and outdoor space mirrors Nijinsky’s elegance and symmetry of form. Italian antiques harmoniously blend with bespoke modern artworks. Vibrant red walls and terracotta cabochon flooring pay homage to Rome’s beating heart, while a curated collection of 19th-century and Valadier-era objets d'art contribute to the feeling of historical sophistication.

The spacious living room is ideal for entertaining, featuring a well -appointed bar area and a dining table that seats ten while the sophisticated bedroom leads to a stylish walk-in wardrobe and a mosaic-adorned bathroom with both a steam bath and separate shower. Le Jardin de Russie

Located in our Secret Garden, Le Jardin de Russie is one of the finest restaurants in Rome. Enjoy classic Italian cuisine created by celebrity Chef Fulvio Pierangelini. Octopus and cuttlefish "Cacciucco". Tagliolini with white truffle. Calamari, langoustines and prawns from the Himalayan Pink Salt Grill. Fig tart with Brachetto. At weekends, the special brunch provides a gourmet experience with chefs conjuring up pasta dishes in front of you.

The Stravinskij Bar

The Stravinskij Bar has an extensive selection of refreshments and Roman delicacies if you would prefer something lighter. For lunch, we offer a delicious buffet whereby you can eat in the sunshine; in the afternoon, traditional tea is served; or for the evening, why not savour one of our extensive martini cocktails such as the 'De Russie Martini', served with caviar, whilst enjoying our live music in the Russie gardens.
